Privacy Policy

What we collect

• An account-free device ID. The app generates a random identifier (a UUID) stored on your Mac so we know which circle your device belongs to. It is not tied to your real-world identity.
• Profile. The display name and emoji you choose.
• Messages. The text notes, doodles, and Knock messages you send — including scheduled “time capsule” messages — are stored on our servers so we can deliver them to your circle. Sealed time-capsule messages stay hidden until their open time.
• Email (only if you buy directly). If you purchase on our website, our payment provider shares your purchase email so we can link the purchase to your circle. If you unlock from inside the app, we don't need your email.
• Payment data — not stored by us. We never see or store your card details. Payments are processed by Polar Software Inc. (our Merchant of Record); see Polar's privacy policy for how they handle payment information.

What we don't do

• No ads and no advertising trackers.
• We don't sell your data.
• No third-party analytics embedded in your messages.

Where your data goes

Messages are delivered only to the members of your circle — up to five people who share your invite code. Our backend runs on Cloudflare. We don't share your content with anyone else.

Retention & deletion

We store messages so we can deliver them and show your in-app history. You can leave a circle at any time from the app. To request deletion of your data, email nextactionclubkr@gmail.com.

Children

Knock is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we don't knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted on this page.
